Student Services, UniSC Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs or UniSC Moreton Bay, Petrie. Professional Level 5 - $80,236 - $90,420 p.a. plus up to 17% employer superannuation. Full time, Fixed term appointment until 31 March 2026.

The Opportunity

Student Services at UniSC, led by the Academic Registrar and Director, Student Services, is a key part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio, focused on enhancing the student experience, success, and retention. This division delivers vital initiatives and services to support students throughout their academic journey, from admissions to graduation, ensuring they become lifelong learners and job-ready graduates.

As an Engagement Officer, Study at UniSC, you will be a key member of a collaborative team responsible for proactive, multi-channel outreach to prospective students. You will help drive personalised communication and engagement activities across phone, email, SMS, and digital platforms to connect with prospective students, providing them with the information and personalised support they need to confidently take the next step in their journey to study at UniSC.

You will
  • Implement and manage outbound campaigns and engagement activities to connect with prospective students, providing essential information about UniSC programs and support services to facilitate a smooth transition into university life.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of tailored communication strategies, including creating and editing call scripts and materials, to encourage student engagement aligned with student needs.
  • Identify and coordinate personalised engagement for students facing barriers to enrolment, offering trauma-informed guidance and connecting them to appropriate support services.
About you

You are a proactive and empathetic communication professional with a passion for student engagement and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You bring excellent interpersonal and digital skills, with proven experience in delivering communication campaigns and engaging diverse audiences. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to outstanding customer service ensure that you can contribute meaningfully to student success and experience. You communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and adapt with ease to evolving student needs and organisational goals.

You will possess
  • Completion of a degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, or training.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with experience delivering engagement campaigns and building effective relationships with students and staff.
  • High digital literacy, including experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, supporting data analysis, reporting, and campaign insights.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an understanding of tertiary education communication challenges and the capacity to provide empathetic, timely referrals to support services.
