Job summary

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is seeking anEngagement Coordinator – People at Higher Risk to help improve fire safety for vulnerable groups. Based in Geelong or Hamilton, this 0.6 FTE fixed-term role runs until 11 April 2028 across the South West Region and focuses on delivering tailored preparedness sessions.

You will build partnerships with disability, aged-care, health and community organisations, coordinate training and events, and promote CFA programs to strengthen referral pathways and

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse individuals and communities.
• Experience developing partnerships with community organisations and service providers.
• Excellent organisational skills to coordinate appointments, referrals, training and activities.
• Confidence delivering information, presentations and practical support to individuals and groups.
• Sound judgement, initiative and problem solving for competing priorities.
• Strong administrative and reporting skills, maintaining accurate records.
• Empathy, patience and commitment to helping people prepare for emergencies.
