Job summary

Standards Australia is seeking a Project Coordinator - Standards Development (Energy Sector) to lead national standards development projects and stakeholder engagement across Australia’s energy sector. Reporting to the National Manager – Electricity and Gas, you will manage projects, coordinate committees and ensure timely, compliant delivery.

You will work with technical committees, regulators and internal teams to enable consensus outcomes and ensure publications are produced to schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in the energy sector is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within timelines.

Responsibilities

• Managing the development of national standards and related technical publications.
• Establishing and maintaining project plans, schedules and documentation using project management systems.
• Coordinating technical committee meetings and facilitating discussions to achieve consensus outcomes.
• Preparing and distributing meeting documentation including agendas, draft standards and minutes.
• Monitoring committee activity and proactively managing project risks or issues.
• Maintaining positive working relationships with committee members and sector stakeholders.
• Supporting Australian participation in international standards development activities.
• Managing national mirror committee participation in international standards work and balloting processes.
• Ensuring projects comply with Standards Australia’s policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Maintaining accurate committee and stakeholder records using organisational systems.
