Job summary

Baringa is seeking an Analyst/ Consultant for our Market Fundamentals and Transactions practice in Sydney to build quantitative insights into power market fundamentals and project value. You will lead end-to-end market modelling on client projects and translate results into client-ready deliverables.

You will use modelling tools to assess prices, revenues and feasibility, contribute to continuous improvement, and communicate complex concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy market modelling.
• Experience working in a consulting environment.
• Passion for energy decarbonisation and energy transition.
• Comfort with data and numerical analysis.
• Ability to explain methods and concepts clearly to clients.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Collaborative and effective team player.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and lead end-to-end market modelling on client projects from inputs to client deliverables.
• Produce outputs including key metrics of project viability such as prices and revenues for feasibility and transactions.
• Suggest modelling and process improvements as you gain experience.
