Recruitment is seeking a Lawyer with 5 to 8+ years PQE to join a Melbourne-based team focused on Energy and Corporate M&A, including renewables-based work. The role offers exposure to top-tier clients across all project phases and potential training in renewables with a respected Partner.

Ideal candidates will have strong interest in the energy space, with experience in corporate M&A and related regulatory matters, and a commitment to growth within the renewables sector.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years PQE across corporate M&A and/or energy matters.
• Demonstrated passion for the energy space.
• Willingness to be trained in renewables when required.

Responsibilities

• Work across project sale and acquisition, due diligence and project feasibility.
• Handle grid connection, compliance, and related finance elements (offtake, construction, operation).
• Collaborate with a Partner to service prominent clients in energy.

With close to 1800+ people across Australia and strong pipelines of work, there is now an opportunity for a Lawyer to join the the team in Melbourne focussing on Energy related work with lots of renewables based work on offer.

The Role

This role will suit lawyers with 5 to 8 years PQE across corporate M&A and/or energy related matters. Importantly you are passionate about the energy space. In this role you will work across project sale and acquisition and due diligence, project feasibility, grid connection, compliance and associated areas of finance, offtake, construction and operation. If necessary, you will be trained in the renewables space working with a highly regarded Partner for prominent clients. This is an ideal role for someone either with focused energy experience or candidates with exposure looking to specialise.
