JLegal is expanding its Melbourne commercial property practice with a role for a property lawyer handling a varied mix of transactional property and renewable energy matters. You will work with senior lawyers and gradually take ownership of matters, negotiations and client relationships as you develop.

An opportunity is available for a property lawyer to join an established Melbourne commercial property practice working across a varied mix of transactional property and renewable energy matters.
The role offers exposure to sophisticated property work for corporate, institutional, development and investment clients, with matters spanning acquisitions and disposals, development projects, commercial and industrial leasing, property due diligence and land arrangements supporting major energy projects.
You will work closely with experienced senior lawyers while taking increasing ownership of matters, negotiations and client relationships as your experience develops.

The position provides the opportunity to develop experience across both traditional commercial property work and the expanding renewable energy sector.
You will be an admitted lawyer (2 - 4 PQE) with experience in commercial property transactions and an interest in continuing to broaden your practice.
Ideally, your background will include experience across several of the following areas:
Experience with renewable energy projects will be highly regarded, although lawyers with a strong commercial property background and a genuine interest in developing experience in this area are also encouraged to consider the opportunity.
You will also bring strong drafting and communication skills, sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities while providing a high level of service to clients.
