Job description

The role:

Are you looking for a hands-on engineering role with real ownership? As an Endpoint Engineer based in our Pirie Street offices, you'll be the technical authority for end-user computing across Adbri! You'll make sure our people - from the corporate office to the plant floor - have secure, reliable and consistent technology they can depend on. You'll be the escalation point for complex endpoint issues. You'll also shape how our devices are built, deployed and managed as the business grows and evolves.

As part of the global CRH group and a growing business, you'll have the chance to contribute to projects as new businesses and environments join Adbri. We want your expertise and your perspective on the best way to do it.

What you'll do:
  • Resolve complex Level 2 and 3 endpoint escalations affecting laptops, desktops, mobile devices, applications and connectivity, working with our service desk and support partners.
  • Administer and continuously improve our Microsoft Intune environment, including enrolment, configuration, compliance and security policies, and reporting.
  • Design, maintain and refine our standard operating environment (SOE) and Windows Autopilot deployment process.
  • Package, test, deploy and maintain applications, including Win32 apps.
  • Manage endpoint patching and contribute to improvements in patch management processes.
  • Use PowerShell to automate repetitive work and cut down repeat incidents.
  • Support business-critical and industrial machines, keeping disruption to operations to a minimum.
  • Provide expert advice and technical input as new businesses and environments are integrated into Adbri.
  • Build strong relationships with technology colleagues, vendors and operational teams.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, knowledge articles and recovery procedures.
  • Share your knowledge with the wider team and help lift capability around you.
About you:

You're a skilled, curious engineer who enjoys solving complex problems. You're comfortable owning a technical area, you explain complex things in plain language, and you're happy to challenge the way things are done and suggest a better way.

You'll bring the following expertise:

  • 3+ years' experience in endpoint engineering or enterprise endpoint management, including administering, troubleshooting and improving Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM in a production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 deployment, SOEs and application packaging (Win32).
  • PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills across hardware, Windows, identity, networking and peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, mobile device management (iOS and Android), and endpoint security fundamentals such as BitLocker and Microsoft Defender.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and the confidence to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable:
  • Experience with SCCM or hybrid environments, or with moving from hybrid to cloud-only.
  • Microsoft certifications, such as Endpoint Administrator Associate.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience working in a subsidiary of a larger group, or on business integration projects.
Benefits:
  • Join Adbri, an iconic Australian company - established in 1882, with 200+ plants, 8 brands and 5 joint ventures supplying essential construction materials nationwide!
  • Structured learning and development pathways with real career progression opportunities
  • Generous discounts including retail, fuel, car rental, Qantas Club and exclusive savings on Adbri products
  • Extra leave options such as purchased leave, parental leave and volunteer leave
  • Wellbeing support through our confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Service awards and recognition celebrating your contribution and milestones
