Job summary

St John of God Murdoch Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Educator for our Endoscopy Unit. The role is a permanent part-time position (28 hours per fortnight).

You will support caregivers to develop clinical skills and promote high standards of patient care, in collaboration with the L&D Coordinator and unit managers. You will bring RN registration, strong communication, mentoring ability and a passion for education.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an RN with AHPRA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for mentoring and developing others; problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or progress towards; Endoscopy experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Department Managers and stakeholders.
• Identify educational needs through assessment aligned with planning, risk, policy.
• Apply adult learning principles when facilitating learning.
• Deliver, assess and evaluate local learning outcomes using standard models.
• Provide mentoring and coaching through experiential learning for caregivers.
• Supervisor duties for students (undergraduate and postgraduate) as directed.
• Collaborate with health professionals to promote multidisciplinary learning.
