Job summary

Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is seeking an Endoscopy Cleaning Technician in Sydney to join our clinical team. You will be responsible for the cleaning, disinfection and safe handling of endoscopy equipment in line with standards, and for operating automated reprocessors and related equipment.

You will maintain accurate records, identify equipment issues and contribute to a clean, safe reprocessing environment, upholding infection prevention and patient safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience in endoscope reprocessing or CSSD.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow procedures and manufacturer instructions precisely.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• WWCC (Working with Children Check) current or willing to obtain.
• National Police Check within the last six months or willingness to obtain.
• Immunisation requirements compliant.

Responsibilities

• Safe and effective cleaning, disinfection and handling of endoscopy equipment.
• Operate automated endoscope reprocessors and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate cleaning and reprocessing records.
• Identify and report equipment failures or concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised reprocessing environment.

About the Role

As an Endoscopy Cleaning Technician, you will be:

• Responsible for safe and effective cleaning, disinfection and handling of endoscopy equipment in accordance with standards
• Operating automated endoscope reprocessors and related equipment
• Maintaining accurate cleaning and reprocessing records
• Identifying and reporting equipment failures or concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised reprocessing environment
• Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and clinical safety

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in endoscope reprocessing or CSSD
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow procedures and manufacturer instructions accurately
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• National Police Check (issued within the last six months or willingness to obtain)
• Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
