Job summary

Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Camperdown is seeking an Endoscopy Cleaning Technician to uphold the highest standards of cleaning, disinfection and infection prevention in the reprocessing area, supporting patient safety and clinical excellence.

You will operate automated endoscope reprocessors, maintain accurate cleaning and reprocessing records, report equipment concerns, and help maintain a clean, safe workspace; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential, with WWCC, National Police

Qualifications

• Endoscopy reprocessing knowledge and infection prevention standards.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Experience in endoscope reprocessing or CSSD is preferred.

About the Role

As an Endoscopy Cleaning Technician, you will be:

• Responsible for safe and effective cleaning, disinfection and handling of endoscopy equipment in accordance with standards
• Operating automated endoscope reprocessors and related equipment
• Maintaining accurate cleaning and reprocessing records
• Identifying and reporting equipment failures or concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised reprocessing environment
• Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and clinical safety
• Previous experience in endoscope reprocessing or CSSD
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow procedures and manufacturer instructions accurately
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• National Police Check (issued within the last six months or willingness to obtain)
• Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
