Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Payroll Officer to deliver accurate, end-to-end payroll processing and support across the organisation. You will work closely with the Payroll Services Manager and the broader team to ensure payroll compliance and timely, precise payroll records.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years of Australian payroll experience, strong knowledge of awards and EBAs, and proficiency with payroll systems, including Sage Micropay.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of payroll processing experience in an Australian environment.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing and payroll legislation.
• Experience interpreting Awards and EBAs (Enterprise Bargaining Agreements).
• Knowledge of payroll accounting and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll activities accurately and on time.
• Calculate wages, overtime, allowances, terminations, leave entitlements and back pays.
• Maintain payroll and leave management systems.
• Process salary increases and payroll adjustments.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts.
• Calculate annual leave and long service leave accruals and provisions.
• Support month-end payroll processing and reporting activities.
• Respond to payroll enquiries promptly and professionally.
