Launch Recruitment Pty Ltd is partnering with a client in Melbourne to hire an experienced End-to-End Accountant. The role involves ownership of the full accounting function and collaboration with a finance team to deliver accurate results.

The candidate should have 5+ years’ accounting experience in commercial environments, CPA/CA qualification, and strong month-end and reporting skills to drive improvements in controls and processes.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA qualification.
• 5+ years’ accounting experience in commercial/corporate environments.
• Strong month-end experience including reporting, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Variance analysis and financial reporting – interpret results and explain key drivers.
• Financial controls & accounting standards – strong technical accounting foundation.

Responsibilities

• Clear interpretation of actual results, key drivers and implications for future financial performance.
• Manage and maintain accurate accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations, with a strong understanding of variance analysis.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure financial results are recorded in line with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy and reporting outcomes.
• Work collaboratively across Finance teams to continuously improve the speed and automation of financial data capture, reconciliations, reporting, analysis and insight generation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the broader finance and accounting function.
