Job summary

selectability - mental wellbeing and suicide prevention in Bowen, QLD, is recruiting a Casual Lifestyle Support Worker. You will work one-on-one in clients' homes and communities to help them live as independently as possible and to build confidence and wellbeing.

You’ll assist with daily tasks, transport to activities, and support engagement in community activities, with casual hourly rates, salary packaging, fitness passport, flexible arrangements, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• To be successful you must possess clear and effective communication skills.
• Demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Exhibit an ability to problem solve.
• Be able to follow policies and procedures at all times.
• Be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in clients' homes and communities to promote independence.
• Assist with daily tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and home maintenance.
• Support recipients to access the community and participate in activities.
• Provide transport to and from activities and appointments.
• Build confidence and assist clients to achieve their goals and improve wellbeing.
