Job summary

Anuha supports people with disabilities to live independently within their local community. The role involves working in the community or at the participant’s home, delivering planned supports to help achieve goals and choice.

You may assist with personal care, meals, and attending medical appointments, including sleepovers and rostered hours. Applicants should have a Certificate III Disability Work or willingness to gain it, with strong communication skills and a commitment to rights-based care

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III Disability Work qualification or willingness to gain.
• Ability to communicate effectively using different methods of communication.
• Ability to apply NDIS Practice Standards and Work Health and Safety Act.

Responsibilities

• Support participants to ensure their safety within the home environment or community.
• Comply with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation, applicable Codes of Practice and Industry Standards.
• Provide support in accordance with individual support plans and participant choices.
• Uphold and respect a participant's legal and human rights.
• Assist people with personal care, meal preparation and medical appointments.
• Maintain and review documentation relevant to participants.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of personal data.
• Attend staff meetings and complete training as directed.
