Job summary

Montgomery Advisory in Sydney is seeking a talented Lawyer with 2–4 years' post‑admission experience in employment and workplace relations to join its market‑leading Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team. You will advise major international corporations, ASX 200 companies and government bodies on complex matters.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' post‑admission experience in employment law and workplace relations.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent technical legal skills.
• Experience advising on employment disputes, workplace investigations and complex employment advisory matters.
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with sound commercial judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with clients.
• The ability to manage a diverse workload with autonomy while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
• A genuine passion for employment law and an interest in developing specialist expertise in the area.
• Enthusiasm for business development, building client relationships and contributing to the growth of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a Partner and senior workplace lawyers on a broad range of contentious and non‑contentious employment matters for major clients.
• Advise on employment disputes, workplace investigations and complex advisory matters.
• Gain exposure to related areas such as WHS, industrial relations and modern slavery matters.
• Participate in client secondments, business development and thought leadership initiatives.
