Job summary

Carroll & O'Dea Lawyers in Sydney CBD is expanding its Employment Law team. This full-time role works closely with our Partners and Law Clerks on a broad range of employment matters and investigations.

You will handle workplace disputes, unfair dismissal claims, and advisory work, with a focus on providing clear guidance to clients and contributing to a collaborative, supportive culture that values work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Practising Certificate
• 1–4 years PQE in employment/industrial relations
• Experience in employment and industrial relations law
• Knowledge of the Fair Work Act, enterprise agreements and public sector frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Direct liaison with clients and provide accurate, timely legal advice
• Draft employment contracts, enterprise agreements and workplace policies
• Prepare court and tribunal documents, correspondence and opinions
• Attend Fair Work Commission and other tribunals for dispute resolution; conduct legal research and support senior lawyers
