Job summary

The Andersen Partnership invites an Employment Lawyer with 2-6 years of PQE to join our established firm in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad range of employment matters in a supportive and flexible environment.

You will work on both contentious and non-contentious matters, draft and review contracts and policies, and represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and tribunals while collaborating with senior partners for professional development and career growth.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years PQE in employment law in a reputable firm or in-house team.
• Strong understanding of Australian employment law and industrial relations.
• Experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Ability to manage a busy, varied caseload with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and representation to clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including disputes, unfair dismissal, general protections, and contracts.
• Draft and review employment contracts, workplace policies, and related documentation.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and tribunal hearings, including the Fair Work Commission and other forums.
• Advise on workplace health and safety, industrial relations, and compliance with employment legislation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide tailored, strategic advice.
• Contribute to the growth of the firm through business development and networking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services and share knowledge.
