Job summary

Endeavour Foundation is seeking an Employment Coach in Innisfail, Queensland. You will mentor and support a group of supported employees in production settings, focusing on person-centred practices and safeguarding while fostering a caring and empowering workplace.

This full-time role operates Monday to Friday on-site. Ideal candidates have experience with disability support and safeguarding plans, and are prepared to obtain necessary checks and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience working with supported or disability employees.
• Understanding safeguarding and positive behaviour support plans.
• Willing to obtain Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIs Worker Screening Check and other required checks.

About the role:

We're looking for an Employment Coach to champion person-centred practices and contemporary disability service provision. In this role, you'll be the mentoring and motivating the supported employees that work in the production field to feel supported and cared for in their day to day working environment. You'll work closely with a small group of Supported Employees to provide customer safeguarding and positive behaviour strategies to mentor and coach the employees.

Ideal applicant will have prior experience in working with supported or disability employees or lived experience. You will have a strong understanding in safeguarding and positive behaviour support plans. This role is based in Innisfail, Queensland and is for Full-time Monday to Fridays.

What You’ll Do:

What you can bring to the team

• Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Driver's License.
• Experience in disability support will be highly regarded.
• A genuine commitment to the purpose and values of the organisation with a natural empathetic nature.
• CPR and First Aid – required or willing to obtain
