Qualifications

  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Current driver's license and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate required.
  • Willingness to complete a Criminal History Check.
  • Able to obtain a Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Able to successfully complete a NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement.
  • Flexible to travel as required for service delivery.

About the Role

As an Employment Coach within APM Futures, you will provide tailored employment support to NDIS Participants, empowering them to achieve their vocational goals and build sustainable career pathways. You will be motivating, mentoring and supporting personal growth, helping your participants to develop and establish their vocational identity, tailoring their supports to their individual requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands on & highly consultative support to a small group of participants
  • Provide mentorship, encourage skills development and increase people’s capacity for work
  • Deliver person centred supports to participants, some transitioning from school to work
  • Provide on-site support once employment has commenced and assist with integration
  • Provide support and consultation to employers
Qualifications & Requirements

We welcome those from various backgrounds, including Youth Services, NDIS, Community Services and Employment Services. You are a resilient and creative problem solver and love working in a collaborative environment where you can make an impact and genuinely help young people with disabilities on their path to employment.
