Job summary

Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to provide expert advice and representation across a broad range of employment and industrial relations matters.

This is a unique opportunity to influence workforce strategy, support organisational priorities and represent the District in proceedings before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission and other statutory bodies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated advocacy experience before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission, tribunals or other statutory bodies
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments and contemporary workplace relations practices
• Experience managing complex and sensitive employee relations matters
• The ability to build credibility and influence with senior leaders, unions and key stakeholders
• A practical, solutions‑focused approach and sound judgement in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑level expertise across industrial and employment law matters
• Advocacy before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission and tribunals
• Interpretation of awards, policies and legislation
• Conduct workplace investigations and manage performance and conduct
• Handle complex grievances and disputes
• Engage with unions and negotiate outcomes
• Lead organisational change and workforce reform
