Job summary

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Basic understanding of disability support practices; training will be provided.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support participants with complex or challenging behaviours following plans and safety procedures.
• Assist participants to develop independence, daily living skills and routines.
• Enable community access, appointments and social participation.
• Observe and document changes in health, wellbeing or support needs and report concerns.
• Promote choice, dignity, independence and control for participants.
• Collaborate with families, colleagues and health professionals to ensure consistent support.
