Job summary

Gensler in Melbourne seeks an Architect with 3–5 years of experience to contribute to sports and entertainment projects from concept through construction documentation. You will collaborate with Project Architects, Design Managers and Design Directors to develop design solutions and deliver high-quality technical documentation.

Proficiency in Revit and strong communication skills are expected, with a passion for sports design and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams on complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent recognised qualification.
• 3–5 years of architectural experience, ideally with sports/entertainment projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with 3D modelling and visualisation.
• Experience contributing to design development and construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods and systems.
• Excellent design and technical problem-solving skills.
• Able to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Passion for Sports design and developing expertise in sports projects.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the design team to develop cohesive, technically sound design solutions.
• Support projects through design development, documentation and construction phases.
• Coordinate documentation with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil and other consultants.
• Produce drawings, specifications and other technical documentation with high accuracy.
• Maintain design intent with project architects, design managers and directors.
• Assist in resolving technical and design issues to develop practical solutions.
• Review drawings for compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Support construction administration including submittals, RFIs and substitutions.
• Participate in site observations and document site reviews during construction.
• Communicate effectively with project team members, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovative solutions for sports and entertainment environments.
• Participate in office activities, initiatives and learning programs.
