Job summary

Directitude in Williamstown, SA, AU is seeking a Project Coordinator / Junior Project Manager to support the Project Manager with estimating, procurement, and site coordination. There is an expedited pathway to become Project Manager.

Key duties include costing from tender to completion, contracting/subcontractor management, RFIs, and documentation. A Diploma/Degree in Building & Construction is required, with travel willingness and strong communication skills emphasized.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Building & Construction (or Equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years experience in Project Coordination for complex projects
• Construction Induction Training Certificate
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and attention to details
• Experience in estimating and breaking packages and calculate take offs manually
• Ability to read and understand architectural, consultant and shop drawings
• Be a team player and have the ability to follow instruction, work independently & use initiative
• Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Manager with Project costing from tender through to completion
• Vet / Pre-qualify Contractors suitability to perform the works under contract
• Breakdown Scope into packages for tendering and assist with estimating as required
• Review compare and negotiate with Subcontractors and supplier during the value management process
• Coordinate the RFI process
• Attend and minute PCG meetings
• Coordinator Subcontractor Contracts and claims
• Coordinate site documentation including but not limited to various Authority form, Permits, Traffic Management and WHS/site establishment
• Assist the Project Manager with administering NODs, and EOTs
• Assist with managing the project in the absence of the Project Manager
