Job summary

Animal Emergency Australia is seeking an experienced ECC veterinarian to join AES North Coast in Bangalow. You’ll be part of a dedicated emergency team with access to ultrasound, endoscopy and ventilators, supported by seasoned ECC vets and nurses.

Both Permanent Part-Time and Full-Time roles are available as we deliver gold-standard after-hours care in a people-first environment across Australia.

Qualifications

  • Qualified ECC veterinarian with registration and ability to work in a fast-paced emergency setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for a busy hospital environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Join our small animal emergency team and manage a varied caseload.
  • Work with advanced equipment and receive mentorship from ECC veterinarians and nurses.
  • Provide high-quality after-hours care and support for pets and their families.

Whether you're an experienced ECC veterinarian or a confident GP ready to take on exciting new cases, this is your opportunity to grow in a hospital where people and pets truly come first.

About the Role:

Join our small animal emergency team and experience a caseload that's as varied as it is rewarding. With access to advanced equipment such as ultrasound, endoscopy, ventilators as well as support from experienced ECC veterinarians and nurses, you'll be equipped and supported every step of the way.

  • Flexible shifts: evenings, overnights & weekends
  • Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time roles available
  • No orthopaedic surgery, with complex cases referred to AES Carrara
  • ECC mentors on hand; confident GP vets encouraged to apply
  • Supportive, tight-knit team. Never alone, even on sole charge shifts
