The Emergency Veterinary Nurse role involves triage, case management, surgery, and critical care nursing within an open hospital model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years GP experience; ECC advantageous.
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn best-practice methods.
• Committed to providing quality care within an open hospital model.
• Flexibility to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
• Reliable transport is essential for shift work.

Responsibilities

• Triage, hospital case management, surgery and critical care nursing.
• Hands-on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, surgery and patient care.
• Critical care nursing with emphasis on excellent patient care.
• Open hospital model delivering quality experiences for clients.
• Roster designed to support nurse wellbeing, learning and development.
• Collaborative care between vets and vet nurses.
