Greencross Vet Centre Adelaide is seeking experienced GP Vet Nurses or seasoned Emergency Nurses to join the Emergency & Critical Care team where every shift counts and every patient matters. We’re on the hunt for Full-Time and Part-Time Vet Nurses to join our Emergency & Critical Care team where every shift counts, every patient matters, and no two nights are ever the same.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of experience in a busy GP clinic or emergency/critical care.
• Strong technical skills (IV catheter placement, blood sampling, anesthesia monitoring).
• Calm, focused and compassionate under pressure.
• Great communication skills and a genuine passion for animal care.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to emergency and hospitalised patients.
• Support veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments and emergency procedures.
• Monitor patients, administer medications, and maintain medical records.
• Assist in surgical and critical care cases as required.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients in stressful situations.
• Uphold hospital policies, infection control standards and safety procedures.

• Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients during stressful situations
• Uphold hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures
• Contribute positively to team culture and knowledge sharing

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• 2+ years of experience in a busy GP clinic or in an emergency/critical care role
