Animal Referral Hospital is seeking an Emergency Vet Nurse for two part-time roles to cover a 12-month maternity leave on the Gold Coast. Roles begin May 2026 at AEC Gold Coast in Varsity Lakes with a highly supportive team of vets and nurses.

The position offers rotation through surgical, reception and hospital duties including critical care, with diagnostic imaging and education opportunities. Flexible shifts with remuneration reflecting evening/overnight penalties, aimed at maintaining

Qualifications

• Cert IV Veterinary Nurse qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy GP or hospital.
• Interest in emergency and critical care.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Flexible, adaptable attitude and positive approach.

Responsabilités

• Expand clinical skills in a supportive, dynamic environment.
• Rotate through surgical, reception and hospital roles including critical care nursing.
• Perform diagnostic imaging (digital x-ray, ultrasound) and endoscopy.
• Support continued education and mentorship within the team.
• Shift flexibility with penalties for evening and overnight work.

Job Description

Emergency Vet Nurse - x2 Part time roles for 12-month Maternity Leave Contracts!

• Minimum 2 shifts a week plus pick up extra shifts with staff leave/sickness.
• Starting in May 2026.
