Job summary

Country Fire Authority (CFA) – Shepparton VIC is seeking a Qualified Motor Mechanic to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CFA fleet in a clean workshop, 7:45am–4:42pm, Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight.

You will hold a Motor Mechanic Qualification, Heavy Rigid Licence and First Aid L2, working as part of a team to maintain assets and ensure safety standards are met. CFA offers supportive environment and career development.

Qualifications

• Hold a Motor Mechanic Qualification and a Heavy Rigid Driver Licence.
• Ability to apply safety standards on workshop and incident scenes.
• Demonstrated communication skills and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and approved modifications to CFA fleet assets.
• Maintain assets in line with CFA maintenance procedures and industry standards.
• Create electronic Work Orders and document work performed with CFA software.
• Liaise with Brigade members about proposed and completed work.
• Maintain reporting to the Officer-in-Charge on maintenance and safety matters.
• Ensure Industrial Safety Standards are observed.
