Hunter New England Local Health District's Tamworth Hospital is offering a Transition to Specialty Program for Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department. This permanent full-time role provides a structured pathway to develop emergency nursing skills within a Level 5 Rural Referral ED serving the New England Northwest region.

As part of a multidisciplinary team you will gain experience across triage, resuscitation, and life-saving interventions, with education and clinical supervision support

Qualifications

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with NMBA through AHPRA.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an acute hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Undertaking rapid assessment, triage and ongoing monitoring of patients presenting with emergency conditions.
• Delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute, complex and life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
• Performing and assisting with emergency procedures including cannulation, wound management, ECGs, specimen collection and advanced life support interventions.
• Participating in education, simulation, clinical supervision and professional development activities as part of the Transition to Specialty Program.
