Job summary

Gladstone Hospital, part of Queensland Health, seeks experienced Nurse Practitioners for temporary backfill across 2027. Roles will be matched to your scope, credentialing and time availability, enabling you to support multiple teams and maintain impact.

You’ll exercise full scope with clinical autonomy, contribute to advanced practice, and collaborate with the ED team to deliver safe, high‑quality emergency care and improvements.

Qualifications

• An AHPRA-registered nurse with a Master’s-level Nurse Practitioner qualification and NMBA endorsement.
• Advanced clinical skills and confidence in coordinating care and making clinical decisions.
• Commitment to education, research and service improvement in emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat Fast Track patients (categories 3–5) using advanced clinical assessment skills.
• Develop and adapt treatment plans, prescribe and supply medications, ensuring timely care.
• Lead and role model within the multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality emergency care.
