Job summary

SESLHD is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department at St George Hospital, including the new Kensington Street Building. Permanent roles are available as Full Time or Part Time, with hourly remuneration from $41.23 to $57.88 plus Super.

The position is based on a 38-hour week, and requires current RN registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia. Applicants will work in a multidisciplinary team within a safety-focused NSW Health environment while delivering high

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage with patients to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and maintain professional boundaries in complex situations.
• Basic computer skills and experience with health information systems.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles.
• Demonstrated recent post-registration experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the St George Hospital and Health service.
• Deliver emergency department nursing care consistent with SESLHD policies and standards.
