Job summary

NSW Health in Goulburn Base Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for the Emergency Department to lead education, training and professional development in a fast-paced rural ED.

You will deliver in-service education, assess clinical procedures, and mentor staff to enhance skills and patient outcomes. Eligibility requires AHPRA RN registration and post-registration qualifications or trainer certification.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Post-registration clinical or education qualifications and/or Workplace Trainer and Assessor certification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant clinical field with competency knowledge.
• Experience as a preceptor/mentor with contemporary education methods.
• Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate education using adult learning principles.
• Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; advanced computer skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development as a workplace trainer and assessor.
• Valid driver’s licence with ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical training at ward/unit level with in-service programs.
• Assess and demonstrate clinical procedures; foster a preceptor/mentor role.
• Support staff to enhance clinical skills and deliver quality care.
