Job summary

Amazon Leo is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Redmond, WA to join the Autopilot team building high-performance software for satellite operations. You will contribute to low-latency, scalable services that automate mission planning and execution for our constellation, collaborating with engineers across multiple disciplines.

Required: 3+ years of professional software development and a Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.
Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Linux, System Integration, Networking, Operating Systems Kernels, Multi-threading, or Microprocessors and/or microcontrollers
