Job summary

Advanced Navigation in Sydney is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for our navigation product range. You will write embedded C/C++ real-time code, collaborate with product managers, and ensure software integrates with hardware designs.

You will work with Linux environments, containerised applications, and modern AI-assisted tools to optimise coding workflows, with responsibilities spanning bring-up, diagnostics and manufacturing support.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer with specialization in computer systems, software, mechatronics or similar.
• Comfortable deep diving into technical topics and learning new skills to solve new problems.
• A track record of turning high level discussions into detailed work plans and reporting progress to management.
• Proactive self-starting approach with ownership of work and a reputation for delivering results.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for navigation product range.
• Collaborate with Product Manager to align requirements and timelines.
• Grow the collective skills of the team and share knowledge.
• Develop embedded C/C++ real-time applications and ensure software meets hardware requirements.
• Work with hardware team to align software and hardware designs.
• Be involved in design processes for future products.
• Adopt AI-assisted tools to optimise coding workflows and problem-solving.
• Develop tools, diagnostics and infrastructure for hardware bring-up, testing and manufacturing.
