Advanced Navigation is a leader in AI robotics and navigation tech. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will develop embedded software for our navigation product range, collaborating with hardware and product teams to meet ambitious goals and timelines.

The role requires deep expertise in C/C++, real-time systems, Linux, and modern development tools, with a strong focus on quality, standards, and scalable software for space, land, air and sea applications.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified engineer in computer systems, software, mechatronics or similar.
• Ability to learn new topics and solve problems independently.
• Track record of turning high-level discussions into detailed work plans and reporting progress.
• Proactive, self-starting with ownership and initiative.
• Attention to detail, time management and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for navigation product range.
• Collaborate with Product Manager to meet requirements and timelines.
• Grow team skills and share knowledge across the group.
• Develop embedded C/C++ real-time applications and hardware integration.
• Work with hardware team to ensure software and hardware alignment.
• Contribute to design process for future products.
• Adopt AI-assisted tools to optimize coding workflows.
• Create software tools, diagnostics and infrastructure for bring‑up and testing.
• Ensure software complies with international and industry standards.
• Own component delivery and manage deadlines.
