Job summary

Michael Page Australia is seeking an embedded software engineer for a leading Australian tech client in Western Australia. Design, develop and release embedded and PC-based software, translating requirements into software specifications and contributing to architecture discussions.

You will perform verification, validation and testing, support HIL and regression testing, and collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Software, Mechatronics or related Engineering.
• Experience developing embedded software solutions.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills.
• Understanding of 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers.
• Experience with CAN, I2C or SPI.
• Familiarity with Git, version control and code review practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and release embedded and PC-based software.
• Develop software in line with engineering and quality standards.
• Translate system requirements into software specifications.
• Participate in software architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Conduct software verification, validation and testing activities.
• Support HIL, regression and unit testing processes.
• Analyse technical issues and contribute to root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on integration activities.
