Job summary

Optical Systems Design Pty Ltd, a manufacturer of industrial networking products, is seeking a dedicated Test Technician for our Manufacturing Department in Australia. This full-time role (Monday–Friday) focuses on testing electronics, reading schematics, and ensuring product quality in a hands-on engineering environment.

The ideal candidate has strong electronics knowledge, familiarity with embedded systems and Ethernet/serial communications, and experience using test equipment and jigs to

Qualifications

• Good electronics knowledge.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiar with embedded systems and different communication protocols including Ethernet and serial data – desirable not essential
• Previous experience in an electronics production / testing environment along with experience of repairing electronic products down to its component level.
• Ability to use a range of test equipment and test jigs.

Optical Systems Design (OSD) designs and manufactures a diverse range of industrial networking products for the security, transport and industrial markets both within Australia and worldwide.

We are looking to add to our team of Test Technicians in our Manufacturing Department. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday

Our ideal candidate would have

Good electronics knowledge

Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.

Familiar with embedded systems and different communication protocols including Ethernet and serial data – desirable not essential

Previous experience in an electronics production / testing environment along with experience of repairing electronic products down to its component level.

Ability to use a range of test equipment and test jigs
