Job summary

Rheinmetall Defence Australia in Redbank, Ipswich is seeking a Team Lead to oversee electronics production and service tasks with a high level of autonomy and quality. You will coach ES4 and junior technicians, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines and productivity targets are met.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive electronics experience, and the ability to travel as needed. Shifts run on a rotating days and afternoons pattern, with a supportive, safety‑focused culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Electrotechnology or equivalent AQF Level 4.
• Certificate IV in Leadership & Management or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in electronics production and service environments.
• Strong technical understanding of electronic systems, assemblies and testing procedures.
• Proven ability to lead small teams and coach junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic production and service tasks with autonomy and quality.
• Provide technical coaching, mentoring, and supervision to ES4 and below-level technicians.
• Monitor and report progress to meet deadlines, standards and productivity goals.
• Allocate and manage daily work orders and booking of hours to achieve >90% productivity.
• Support and maintain compliance with product handling procedures and quality standards.
