Gallagher Group Limited's eShepherd business in Melbourne invites an Electronics Engineer to help design next-gen products for global livestock management. You’ll work across concept to production in a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll contribute to electronics, embedded systems, connectivity and IoT, collaborating with software, mechanical, product and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions in real-world environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar required.
• Experience designing and developing commercial electronic products.
• Strong analogue and digital electronics design capability.
• Experience with PCB design tools and electronics development processes.
• Understanding of product development and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of EMC compliance and electrical safety requirements.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Using GPS‑enabled, solar‑powered collars, farmers can remotely manage livestock without the need for traditional fencing, improving productivity while supporting better environmental and animal welfare outcomes.

We're looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our Melbourne‑based eShepherd team and help develop the next generation of products behind this rapidly expanding technology platform.

The Opportunity

This is a hands‑on engineering role where you'll contribute across the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and circuit design through to prototyping, testing, validation and production.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help create robust electronic solutions that perform reliably in challenging real‑world environments. You'll collaborate closely with software, mechanical, product and manufacturing teams to bring innovative ideas to life and deliver products used by customers around the world.

What You'll Be Doing
