Job summary

Gallagher Animal Management in Melbourne is seeking an Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation livestock management devices. Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar.
• Experience designing and developing commercial electronic products.
• Strong analogue and digital electronics design capability.
• Knowledge of EMC compliance and electrical safety requirements.
• Experience with PCB design tools and electronics development processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Using GPS-enabled, solar-powered collars, farmers can remotely manage livestock without the need for traditional fencing, improving productivity while supporting better environmental and animal welfare outcomes.

We're looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our Melbourne-based eShepherd team and help develop the next generation of products behind this rapidly expanding technology platform.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll contribute across the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and circuit design through to prototyping, testing, validation and production.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help create robust electronic solutions that perform reliably in challenging real-world environments. You'll collaborate closely with software, mechanical, product and manufacturing teams to bring innovative ideas to life and deliver products used by customers around the world.

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience working with IoT devices, battery-powered products, embedded systems, wireless communications or ruggedised hardware environments will be highly regarded.
