Thales in NSW is seeking an Installation, Integration & Test Technician to support the design, planning, installation and testing of communication systems upgrades on Australian defence projects. The role may require occasional interstate travel, and candidates should be Australian citizens eligible for NV1 security clearance.

You will work in a small team, developing installation documentation, installing equipment, and testing to ensure standards and safety compliance, with a focus on quality

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Systems or currently completing.
• Practical experience on communication and/or electronic systems.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office.
• Understanding of configuration management processes and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Develop installation documentation to support installation activities.
• Install project-specific equipment.
• Test new installations for standards and safety compliance.
• Set to work of electronic and communication equipment/software for subsystem and system testing.
• Ensure quality, workmanship, mentoring and task completion in support of the Project Team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Installation, Integration and Test Technician to join our team based in Rydalmere NSW. We are looking for technicians/technical officers with an electronics communications background.

This role will require you to work in a small team, utilising your technical skills and knowledge to support the design, planning, installation and testing of communication systems upgrades on our Australian defence projects.

This opportunity will require occasional travel interstate.

KEY OUTCOMES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Installation, Integration & Test Technician, you are responsible for:

• Development of installation documentation to support installation activities.

• Perform installation of project specific equipment.

• Testing of new installations to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.

• Set to work of electronic and communication equipment/software to support sub-system and system level testing.

• Ensure quality, workmanship, mentoring and task completion in support of the Project Team.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

• AQF Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Systems (or currently completing)

• Practical experience on communication and/or electronic systems.

• Computer literacy skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications.

• Understanding of configuration management processes and procedures.
