Job summary

Phillip Riley Projects Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an Electrician to interpret detailed drawings, layouts and project specifications to plan installation procedures. You will prepare reference points for placement of electrical components and systems, and assemble, install, and connect cables, switchboards and related devices to ensure safe operation.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position, with duties including inspections, fault finding, repair or upgrade

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings, electrical layouts, and project specifications to plan installation procedures.
• Prepare and mark out accurate reference points for the placement of electrical components and systems.
• Assemble, install, and connect cables, wires, switchboards, and related control devices to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Conduct inspections and use diagnostic instruments to locate and resolve electrical faults and malfunctions.
• Repair, replace, or upgrade defective components, wiring, and circuits to restore functionality and meet safety standards.
• Link electrical networks to the main power supply and verify system integrity through comprehensive testing.
• Carry out testing, calibration, and fine-tuning of electrical and mechanical assemblies, including lift systems.
