Job summary

Mounties Group is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Electrician to support our Mount Pritchard site. You will perform day-to-day electrical trade and maintenance across the Club, ensuring compliance with Mounties' safety standards.

Key duties include inspecting systems, planning layouts, and working at heights while maintaining licenses and WHS compliance. The role requires flexibility, a current electrical license, and a valid driver's license with the ability to travel between venues.

Qualifications

Electrical license is required and must be current.
WHS White Card (Construction Induction) is mandatory.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between venues is required.
Willingness to work flexible hours and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

Inspect electrical systems and components for hazards and compliance.
Plan layout and installation of wiring per plans and codes.
Maintain licences and comply with safety regulations across sites.
Operate tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
Perform physical tasks including working at heights and in confined spaces.

About The Role

We are currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Electrician to provide your expertise at our Mount Pritchard site.

You will be responsible for the completion of day-to-day electrical trade and maintenance functions across the Club, including programmed maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and assets in accordance with Mounties' requirements and standards.

More Specifically, Some Of Your Key Duties Will Include

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters/ voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Maintain current licences to meet governmental regulations.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Prepare sketches or follow plans to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, ewp’s and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
