Job summary

Hall & Prior Aged Care Group is seeking an experienced electrician to deliver safe, high-quality electrical services across commercial sites and Government housing in Melbourne. The role focuses on reactive maintenance and small project work, reporting to the Operations Manager.

You will perform on-call duties every 8 weeks, travel between sites, and ensure work complies with Australian Standards. A reliable, independent worker with knowledge of safety standards is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance and service work.
• Experience in Government housing or residential maintenance is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical safety compliance.
• Willingness to participate in a 1 in 8 week on-call roster.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Attend reactive service and maintenance callouts across commercial sites.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Complete small electrical project works from start to finish.
• Carry out electrical works within Government housing properties.
• Participate in an on-call roster (rostered once every 8 weeks).
• Manage company van, stock, tools and equipment; travel between sites as required.
• Complete job sheets, compliance documentation and testing records.
• Ensure all work meets Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000.
