Job summary

Mint Electrical Services in Adelaide is seeking a Commercial Leading Hand Electrician who takes pride in leading by example. You will mentor a team of electricians and apprentices, plan daily site activities, read and interpret electrical drawings, and coordinate with project managers and builders to keep projects on schedule.

This full‑time on‑site role offers $60 per hour, a vehicle with petrol card, an annual bonus, and a clear path for long‑term growth within our SA business.

Qualifications

• Current South Australian A-Class Electrical Licence.
• 3–5 years' experience in commercial electrical installations.
• Ability to lead a team of electricians and apprentices.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence and working rights.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Leading Hand Electrician who takes pride in delivering quality work and leading by example. This is not a stepping-stone role, it is an opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing South Australian business.

You will work closely with the Director and Project Managers while taking ownership of your sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

The Right Candidate Will Have

• Current South Australian A-Class Electrical Licence.
• Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Senior Commercial Electrician on commercial construction projects.
• A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in commercial electrical installations.
• The ability to lead and coordinate a team of electricians and apprentices.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and construction practices.
• The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the confidence to make practical decisions onsite.
• Strong communication skills with builders, project managers, clients, suppliers, and other trades.
• A proactive attitude with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and safety.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.

Highly Regarded

• Experience leading commercial projects from first fix through to commissioning.
• Experience with Simpro or similar job management software.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction programmes and project sequencing.
• Current White Card, EWP, Working at Heights, and First Aid certifications.
• Experience mentoring apprentices and developing team members.
