Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Warragul, VIC. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across residential and commercial sites, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing electrical issues, performing troubleshooting and fault finding, conducting routine inspections, and completing preventive maintenance. The role also involves reading and interpreting plans and specifications, preparing materials and tools for each job, and communicating clearly with clients and teammates to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of electricity and electrical work, including safe handling of electrical systems.
• Proficiency in maintenance and repair of residential and commercial electrical installations.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, fault finding, and resolving technical issues efficiently.
• Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles relevant to installation and system performance.
• Current A-Grade Electrician license or equivalent, with up-to-date knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, including use of appropriate PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
• Effective communication skills, reliability, and a collaborative approach to working within a small team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within West and South Gippsland and surrounding areas as required.
