Job summary

Recruit Shop in Townsville is seeking an experienced electrical trades supervisor to deliver power, lighting and air conditioning control work across residential, commercial and industrial projects, while developing and leading a small team.

The role includes mentoring an apprentice, coordinating with other trades and the office, installing and upgrading mains, power and control systems, and occasional travel on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster to remote sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in power, lighting and air conditioning control work across multiple sectors.
• Electrical trade qualifications and current licence are required.
• Ability to lead and develop a small team on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team with an apprentice on site.
• Coordinate with other trades and the client’s office team.
• Install and upgrade power, lighting, mains and controls.
• Carry out air conditioning system installations and some breakdowns.
• Travel to remote sites on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver power, lighting, and air conditioning control work across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, while developing and leading a small team.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Working with an apprentice to develop and lead a small team
• Co-ordinating with our client's other trades and office team
• Carrying out new air conditioning system installations and some breakdowns
• Installing and upgrading power, lighting circuits, mains, and controls
• Occasional travel to remote sites for short stints on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Some industrial, commercial, and residential experience in power and controls for air conditioning
• A Cert III Electrical Trade Certificate and current electrical licence
• A current driver's licence, current CPR/LVR, and Construction White Card
• The ability to complete test results, with knowledge of simPRO an advantage
• Ambition to lead a team and the drive to hit the ground running and complete tasks
