Job summary

Department of Housing & Public Works QLD – Townsville QLD is seeking a qualified Electrician to join the Townsville correctional facilities team. You will work on projects primarily in correctional facilities, with potential work in schools and other public facilities across North Queensland.

You will maintain high safety and quality standards, mentor apprentices, and collaborate with government partners to deliver community infrastructure for the region.

Qualifications

• Valid Electrician Qualifications – minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Willingness to use digital tools on site.
• Eligible to work in Australia.
• Support and mentor apprentices.

In this role, you'll work on a variety of projects, mainly in the correctional facility in Townsville, but a possibility of maintaining and improving schools, public facilities, and community buildings. You'll contribute to key community projects and collaborate with our government partners to expand QBuild's services, helping the region continue to thrive.
