Job summary

Wentworth Electrical is seeking a skilled electrician to support a wide range of commercial, industrial, solar and construction projects across Townsville and regional Queensland.

You will work on installations, switchboards, lighting and control systems, with opportunities for progression into Leading Hand, Supervisor and Project Management roles within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Queensland Electrical Work Licence.
• Possesses a valid driver's licence and safe work practices.
• Demonstrates high workmanship standards and attention to safety.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Takes ownership of their work and delivers quality outcomes.
• Experience across commercial, industrial, solar, controls or construction is valued.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial construction and fitouts across diverse projects.
• Perform industrial electrical installations and switchboard work.
• Install lighting, control systems, solar and battery setups.
• Handle communications, data cabling and general service duties.
• Provide maintenance, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on sites.
• Work on regional projects with a focus on safety and quality.
• Collaborate with teams and clients to meet project timelines.
• Contribute to a strong pipeline of ongoing work.

Job description

You will work across a broad range of projects including commercial construction and fitouts, industrial electrical installations, switchboards and distribution, lighting and control systems, solar and battery installations, communications and data, service and maintenance, and regional project work. Our workload is varied, giving electricians exposure to projects ranging from local commercial works through to larger regional projects.
