Job summary

Detector Inspector Pty Ltd is seeking a self-motivated electrician to service Toowoomba and Ipswich. You will maintain and test 240V smoke detectors, test RCDs in residential properties, and perform compliance work across Toowoomba and Ipswich with travel to surrounding areas as needed.

Based in Toowoomba and Ipswich, you will use our in-house app to manage bookings, log job details, and complete inspections efficiently, with each visit typically taking 10–30 minutes depending on the task.

Qualifications

• Electrical licence required.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
• Professional presentation and self-motivation.
• Strong focus on customer service and safety.
• Comfortable using smartphone apps.

The Role

We're after a self-motivated, experienced electrician to:

• Maintain and test 240V smoke detectors

• Test and replace RCDs in residential properties

• Conduct other compliance related services as required

Based in: Toowoomba and Ipswich (travel to surrounding areas as needed)

• Each inspection takes 10–30 minutes; travel time varies between appointments

Please note: All candidates must complete a National Police Clearance and a Pre-Employment Physical Assessment.

• $100,000 base + up to $5,000 in KPI bonuses

• Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays
